The Challenge
In an increasingly connected world, guest expectations for high-speed, reliable Wi-Fi have never been higher. However, upgrading network infrastructure in a heritage building presents unique challenges: • Strict heritage preservation rules restricted invasive cabling or construction • Patchy Wi-Fi coverage in key areas, including corridors and internal rooms • No disruption to guest experience allowed during the upgrade • Time- and cost-efficiency were essential 🛠️ The goal: Deliver 100% Wi-Fi coverage and high-speed performance — with zero impact on the hotel’s historic structure or operations.
The Solution: Ethernet-over-Coax (EoC) Technology
LSP partnered with the hotel’s management and facilities team to design a future-proof networking solution using Ethernet-over-Coax (EoC). Instead of installing new Ethernet cabling — which could risk structural damage — the solution leveraged the existing coaxial cable infrastructure embedded throughout the building. Key Benefits: This approach allowed us to: • ✅Minimise disruption to guests and staff • ✅Avoid alterations to heritage walls or finishes • ✅Accelerate deployment timelines • ✅Reduce overall project costs To maximize performance and provide 100% coverage, wireless access points were installed throughout all guest rooms, and public areas.

LSP continues our partnership with RACV Club & Resorts with the deployment of an enhanced TV network experience at RACV Healesville Country Club & Resort.
